HISTORY
Westheimer Plumbing and Hardware is a family-owned company
whose owners have been in the decorative plumbing and hardware
business for more than twenty years. The company is the combination
of a retail business started by Marilyn Hermance in 1978 and
a wholesale business started in 1991 by Doug and Bob Hermance.
Starting with one employee and 1,000 square feet of space
in 1978, the company has grown to thirty employees and more
than 18,000 square feet of showroom and warehouse space in
2003.
Westheimer is an American Standard Distributor
and an Authorized American Standard Showroom. This relationship
also includes American Standard affiliated companies Porcher
and Jado, permitting the company to offer a full range of
top quality products at extremely competitive prices. In addition
to these fine products, Westheimer is a distributor of Elkay
kitchen sinks, Hansgrohe, Newport Brass, Rohl, and THG faucets,
Jason and Ultra whirlpools, Toto china and an extensive collection
of over and under counter sinks. Hardware manufacturers represented
include Baldwin, Baltica, Schlage, Rocky Mountain, and Bouvet.
In total, the company offers products from more than 100 manufacturers
in all styles and price ranges.
The company carries the largest stock
of American Standard, Porcher and Jado products in the city,
and has an extensive stock of Baldwin, Elkay and Hansgrohe
products. However, a substantial part of the company’s
business is special order in nature. The company’s sales
professionals have extensive training and experience in specifying
unique products and in staying within customer budgets. Clients
include custom builders, architects, designers, remodeling
and plumbing contractors, and homeowners.
